David was in Brazil at the weekend to unveil plans for his latest soccer centre. The David Beckham World of Sport is set to be ‘the first in a series of unique professional quality sporting experiences’.
“I am honoured to be associated with this incredible project, which will build world class sporting facilities in Brazil, hopefully having a major impact at a local level and internationally,” David said.
The centre will include eight soccer pitches, as well as world-class facilities, which will benefit both professional athletes as well as sports enthusiasts of all abilities. There will be a scholarship programme run for Brazilian children, which will incorporate schools in the region. Speaking of the programme, David explained, “I am incredibly proud of the work my Academies do both in London and Los Angeles and I am happy Brazilian children will benefit from access to the top class facilities and coaching at this resort.”
